KS-FCRC is a coalition of advocates, professionals and organizations formed in response to the national crisis in the custody, care, juvenile, domestic court system, where all too often, victims of domestic violence and or child abuse-Judges order children to live with abusers, and or; are routinely placed in 'foster care'- forced therapeutic jurisprudence- Judges silence, sever contact with, sanction and or jail the parent who tries to protect their children from harm.

Fighting the 'Hidden American Disgrace' of Court Abused Children

We are  growing group of young people, whose childhoods were shattered by inhumane court rulings, which forced us to live with our abusive parent,

while restricting or sometimes completely eliminating contact with our loving and protective parent.

We who survived got older and stronger.

Now we are telling the world how much we were hurt, first by our abusers

then by the court which refused to protect us.

This is really hard to believe. I am sitting in a room filled with women who were beaten, and violated in terrible ways. The room is not in Bosnia, or some far flung third-world hell-hole. I am in a function room in a hotel in Albany at the Battered Mothers Custody Conference. ... full article
